I wouldn’t be where I am today if my career had followed a straight line.
And the best part? You get to benefit from that too.
-
I did my bachelor’s degree in Cologne and soon found myself in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a semester abroad - determined to improve my Spanish.
-
Full of enthusiasm, I started as a trainee at TK Maxx and worked my way up to become a buyer for sportswear.
Travel: 80%. Negotiation skills? Essential. Work-life balance? Non-existent.
-
So I quit and moved to Valencia, Spain, to do my master’s degree. I thought I’d mostly chill in the sun, sip sangria, and learn a few new things on the side. Turns out - not quite.
-
The program was intense, but it gave me fluent Spanish and lifelong friendships. Totally worth it.
-
As part of the degree, I started a 6 months internship at Sky in Munich and after just three months, I was offered a full-time role as a product manager. Whoop! I led projects, worked closely with developers and finally learned what an API is.
-
Then came the lockdown and like many others, I had a lot of time to think. About life, purpose, and what I really wanted. The result? I quit again. This time, without a backup plan.
-
After a few weeks of traveling (as far as 2021 with Covid restrictions allowed), I signed up as a freelancer on Upwork. Motto: Let’s see what happens.

Curious to see where this journey goes next!
Want to hear more about me and my journey? Tune into my podcast!
My podcast is for anyone who's thinking about becoming self-employed and for those who’ve just taken their first steps into entrepreneurship.
I want to inspire, encourage, and share from my own experiences.
Too often, we only hear the success stories of people who’ve already “made it.”
But how did they actually get there?
What were they struggling with in the beginning?
What doubts did they face?
That’s exactly what I explore in Gründung in Progress - where I take you along on my own journey and share the stories of other inspiring founders along the way.
Shall we break the ice?
Here are 10 fun facts about me that (so far) only my closest friends know.
Please don't tell anyone.
